Coucou Clock launched its first issue in December 2012. A year has passed. You've followed us, given us your opinion and encouraged us to continue the adventure, so thank you all! In this fifth edition, there's a winter atmosphere. Wood in the fireplace. The light is colder. There's a longing for snow, a chalet in the Alps and for simmered dishes. Virginie and Bastien open the shutters of their sublime chalet that they restored themselves. And the great idea is that we're able to rent it. 
It’s gray, it’s cold outside, so what? This is an opportunity to excite our creativity and fill our basket with beads, ribbons and ideas from Sonia’s shop. And for those who can't stand the cold, head off to Cambodia! We give you the name of the hotel on the quiet: SALA LODGES .
Also in this issue, a home converted into a hotel - what a surprise! The workshop of an artist who expresses herself in blue and white. Isabelle is shopping for Christmas decorations. This year, she goes for simplicity. And... a new feature, 'Bend it like...' Matilda Nash slips into the world of a personality who inspires us. So to open the show, Vanessa Paradis, a star who's as secretive as she is fascinating. Happy Birthday Coucou Clock!

Une année s'est écoulée. Coucou Clock lançait son premier numéro en décembre 2012. Vous nous avez suivi, donné votre avis et encouragé à poursuivre l'aventure, merci à tous! Dans ce cinquième numéro, une atmosphère hivernale. Du bois dans la cheminée. La lumière est plus froide. Une envie de neige, de chalet dans les Alpes et de plats qui mijotent. Virginie et Bastien ouvrent les volets de leur sublime chalet qu'ils ont eux-même restauré. La bonne idée est qu'on va pouvoir le louer. Il fait gris, il fait froid, et alors? C'est l'occasion de titiller notre créativité et faire le plein de perles, rubans et idées dans la boutique de Sonia. Pour ceux qui ne supportent pas le froid, cap sur le Cambodge! Le nom de l'hôtel qu'on se refile en douce : SALA LODGES.
Sinon, une maison transformée en hôtel, surprise! Un atelier d'une artiste qui s'exprime en bleu et blanc. Un shopping de décorations de Nôël par Isabelle. Cette année, elle simplifie. Et…une nouvelle rubrique "Joue-la comme", Mathilde Nash se glisse dans l'univers d'une personnalité qui l'inspire. Pour ouvrir le bal, Vanessa Paradis, une star aussi secrète que fascinante. Joyeux anniversaire Coucou Clock!

COUCOU CLOCK E-MAGAZINE N°4, fall 2013 issue, Now on iPad!

So summer is coming to an end and we’re already thinking – even if it’s with mixed feelings – about putting on a warmer sweater. In this issue, Ingrid opens the doors of her house, in all its simplicity. As always, Isabelle gives us new ideas and encourages us to take off our bed feet! We also visit her studio. Near Geneva, Switzerland, Florence revisits the world of the Countess de Segur. Then on to Marrakech where we met Laurent, who makes ‘made to measure’ olive oil. Also a walk in the medina, with colours, carpets and a riad that we loved. Then it’s back on Swiss soil with Etoile Blanche’s grocery store and its salted butter caramels. But that’s not all... 

ET VOILÀ, l’été touche à sa fin. On pense déjà, même si le coeur n’y est pas, à remettre un pull un peu plus chaud.   Dans ce numéro, Ingrid nous ouvre les portes de sa maison toute en sobriété. Comme toujours, Isabelle nous donne de nouvelles idées. Cette fois, elle nous encourage à enlever les pieds du lit, avant de nous faire visiter son atelier. Près de Genève, en Suisse, Florence revisite l’univers de la Comtesse de Ségur. Puis cap sur Marrakech où l’on fait la connaissance de Laurent qui élabore des huiles d’olive sur mesure. On en profite pour faire une promenade dans la médina, et vous parler des couleurs, des tapis et d’un riad que nous avons aimé. Retour tout en douceur sur le sol Helvétique avec La confiserie de l’Etoile Blanche et ses caramels au beurre salé, entre autres délices...

It is because this tomato wasn't as beautiful as the others that Gabriella Salvadori wanted to find an elegant name, she christened it Knight's Rose!

WOOL STORY IN ST- ANDREWS - canada

While staying for few days in St-Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada, I had the chance to meet and work with Michelle Ross. She and her husband own the Cottage Craft. All items are handmade. I liked the wool they sell and specially the range of colors they offer. I picked and shot the items I liked most, but there are so much more. The turquoise coat that my friend Mireille would die for, the children's cardigans, the striped socks, the men's scarves, etc... I suggest you buy the wool you like and just let yourself be creative!

I wish Michelle, her husband and their two boys a very successfull summer season in St-Andrews.

Nice lunch at Regina's. So sweet of her to teach us how to prepare artichokes salad, prawns on a lentils bed with coco milk and grapefruits salad with Thai basil.

A SWISS HOME DECORATOR - switzerland

I spent the day shooting with Marina Cardis. Marina is a swiss home decorator. She works with flowers and mixes them with props that she finds in India, Cambodia, Switzerland...

She never stops creating new sets and especially for hotels that she imagines in the middle of nowhere. These hotels are built for one or two nights. We call them, ephemeral.

Marina doesn't have any website yet, but stay tuned, she will create one soon.
